Falster Medieval Center

Falster Medieval Center

We heard they had a working trebuchet at Falster Medieval Center. So we went.

They have built an entire village as it would have been in the 1400s. No museum nonsense, no signs, no guards, no stupid glowing green exit signs. Just houses and medieval technology.

It was fantastic. You can go into every house and shop and examine all the objects with your own hands.

They also gave a demonstration of their range of cannons, and of course the trebuchet.

Københavns Historiske Marked

We showcased various ways of fighting with historical weapons during Københavns Historiske Marked. It was a fantastic event with not only fencing but tons of artists, and blacksmiths, hawking their wares, enthusiastic mead sellers, jousting shows, re-enactment battles of knights in full plate armour.

Public tents were full of medieval bands playing on old instruments and in the evening time every change of wind brought the scent of a new smoldering fire.
